The Ordeal, at Woolworths
Stranded somewhere in the Ardennes after his van breaks down, Marc Stevens (Laurent Lucas - Harry He's Here To Help), a traveling cabaret singer, is taken in by a kindly inn keeper who offers to fix his van and give him shelter for the night. But the motivation for the inn-keeper's kind actions soon changes from altruism to a fervent desire to prevent his new guest from ever leaving. The thing is Marc reminds the lonely inn-keeper of his long-lost wife. Before Marc knows it, his van is sabotaged and he is stranded. But this is only the start of his ordeal and what follows has to be seen to be believed... The Ordeal (aka Calvaire) delivers a terrifying and darkly comic tale of obsession, kidnap, and borderline psychosis that brings to mind films such as Deliverance, Straw Dogs and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but that has a continental flavour very much its own.

Clayton's Warehouse is gutted and, unfortunately, the warehouse was insured, but not the contents. Steve, Fred and Eddie dress as babies for a pub crawl. 5. Emily watches Ray and Janice at the cafe willing her suspicions to be unfounded. Janice tells Ray that Emily knows about them. He tells her they'll have to lie low for a bit but he's not giving her up. 6. Deirdre tells Ray she's leaving him. He swears he's finished with Janice and never loved her - it was only a game. She tells him to stay away from Tracy as he's cheated on her as well. 7. Deirdre worries that Ray will take Tracy away from her but he realises Tracy needs her more than him. He tells Deirdre he's going to go to Holland. He leaves without saying goodbye to Tracy. 8. Hilda is horrified that Stan has put 1 into the fruit machine - she refuses to let it leave the house whilst it has their money. Stan feeds the machine with the gas and electricity money but still doesn't win the jackpot.
