Although the village folk are friendly enough on the surface, things are not entirely as they appear and Stefano feels a rising sense of unease as tales of murder and savage behaviour begin to emerge. Avati builds the suspense to a fever pitch with lingering shots which pose unanswered questions culminating in the film's bloody conclusion.
